 PHYSICS DAY  Why are Luna Park’s rides so much fun? The answer, of course, is that it’s all in the physics! In particular, most of the fun comes from experiencing different and changing ‘g-forces’.Make learning fun by bringing your physics students to Melbourne’s Luna Park in March 2008. Physics Day is an interactive program that supports “Motion in one and two dimensions” in Unit 3 of the VCE Physics Study Design. The Physics Day program will run on Tuesday 4th March, Wednesday 5th March, Thursday 6th March, and Tuesday 15th April 2008 from 10:00am – 2:00pm. The entrance fee is $20.95 per student (inclusive of GST). There is no charge for supervising teachers. Students will have access to 12 rides as well as worksheets and materials developed by the Australian Institute of Physics Education Committee. Schools may also hire out Data Loggers and Shock Accelerometers for the day. Please refer to www.vicphysics.org to download worksheets and materials. SCHOOLS ACTIVITY WEEK As Melbourne’s premiere destination for fun, Luna Park is the perfect venue for your school’s end of year activity day.In 2008, Luna Park will run school activity days on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 15th, 16th, and 17th December. December 3rd has been specially set-aside for primary school groups. The Park will be open between 10:00am and 2:00pm daily. The entrance fee is $20.95 per student (inclusive of GST). There is no charge for supervising teachers. Students will have access to 10 attractions, and our Merchandise and Food & Beverage Outlets will be open for anyone wishing to purchase food, drinks, or memorabilia.
